Bruno Bode Quartett

The young Berlin saxophonist Bruno Bode presents new original compositions with his quartet. His music is full of energy, does not shy away from crossing borders or trying new things, but always has a foot in the jazz tradition. Inspired by groups such as the Mark Turner Quartet, Amok Amor and the Ornette Coleman Quartet, he tries to realize his own voice in his compositions. The pieces are characterized by intense grooves with angular wind lines to calm and atmospheric sound surfaces. He met his band members at the Jazz Institute Berlin and they have been playing together in this and other groups for more than a year.
