Johann Greve Quartett

Johann Greve Quartett
Johann Greve is a young double bass player and composer from Lower Saxony. Since he moved to Berlin in 2019, he has worked as a sideman on a wide variety of projects and established himself in the young Berlin jazz scene. In his compositions, he combines clear melodies with classical jazz forms that give musicians a lot of freedom to interpret and improvise. Inspired by jazz greats such as John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter, Lajos Meinberg play on the piano, Bruno Bode on the saxophone, Leo Gerstner on the drums and Johann Greve on the bass a music for which they burn and which is characterized by the lively Berlin jazz scene.
