Jan Schrüllkamp Quintett

Jan Schrüllkamp Quintett
The Jan Schrüllkamp Quartet, consisting of Leon Dehne on the saxophone, Carlotta Ribbe on the vibraphone, Kevin Hemkemeier on double bass, Jonathan Schierhorn on drums and Jan Schrüllkamp on the guitar, has found its roots in the joint study of jazz at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. The band, founded in the summer of 2021, was born out of a desire to interpret Jan Schrüllkamp’s compositions and explore creative ideas.
The group combines not only musical talent, but also a strong friendship that exists alongside their musical activity. Her music, characterized by emotionality, versatility and energy, draws from the incorporation of individual ideas and voices of all musicians: women who unite in the band sound.
