BODE/WIENKEN/ZEIMETZ
BODE/WIENKEN/ZEIMETZ
The intimate performance of a TRIOS is celebrated in a new line-up: Bruno Bode (*2003) on the alto saxophone with Ursula Wienken (*2001) on bass and Jan Zeimetz (*2000) on drums play their own written pieces. With rhythmic depth, expressive sounds of the instruments and curious energy, the trio can be inspired by acoustic expressions that allow the written and improvised to merge. The 3 musicians are part of the current Bundesjazzorchester, where their mutual friendship began. Bruno Bode lives in Berlin, is a student of Uli Kempendorff and Peter Weniger. Ursula studies in Cologne with Robert Landfermann at the HfMT and is active in various music scenes. Jan is based in Basel, awarded the young German Jazz Prize 2022 and a student of Jeff Ballard. Characterized by individual experiences as young musicians, this trio dares to think in a genre-solved way and create its own voice.
