The music of her heart is Jazz & Soul. Lena Neumann shaped powerful singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dianne Reeves and Al Jarreau. With the namesake Werner Neumann she now makes a common cause and brings her own compositions to the stage, in which splashes of color from avant-garde, rock & straight ahead jazz appear. So the band sounds, partly groove based, partly in open sound areas, always varied and surprising. Catchy melodies alternate with warm sounds, free improvisation or powerful patterns. With Luca Genze on bass and Hermann Spannenberger on the drums, they create a conversation on stage that is always new and exciting. Through the profound lyrics of the singer, which she brings to the audience with warm timbre and vocal bandwidth, they offer a captivating insight into her world.
