Dresden Jazz Session hosted by Mathis Nicolaus

There are hardly any words in the world of language more beautiful than jazz jam session. The Dresden Jazz Session tries to meet the linguistic demands musically. Please have fun.

Mathis Nicolaus Trio

Mathis Nicolaus is a Dresden jazz pianist, composer and bandleader. He studied jazz piano with Matthias Bätzel and Michael Fuchs as well as jazz composition with Thomas Zoller at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden. In addition to his work on the piano, he composed for the jazz orchestra of the Musikhochschule and the Mittelsächsische Philharmonie. Since 2018 he has been leading the TU Big Band Dresden; in the Blue Note he is host of the Dresden Jazz Session. He also teaches piano at the Heinrich-Schütz-Konservatorium.
