The quintet of bassist and composer Tino Ribeiro presents a new repertoire.
Reflections on traditionalism, stylism and restructuring lead to the presentation, a selection of original works and arrangements of “genre-foreign” compositions. Together with the alto saxophonist George Kontomichalis, Tenorsaxophon(tba), Hakim Azmi at the piano and drummer Lenny Rehm, these will be further executed in the search for musical solutions. The meaning of form and frame will be reviewed here, inspired by greats such as Charles Mingus, Sun Ra or Jackie McLean...
