TECTONIC TRIPLET

TECTONIC TRIPLET

Like tectonic plates that move against each other through subductive movements, Tectonic Triplet creates an energy through his impulsive music that puts the listener in an earthquake-like state of ecstasy. The young Leipzig/Berlin Quartet consisting of Lorenz Heigenhuber(b) Markus Rethberg(sax), Lukas Heckers(dr) and Vincent Meißner(p) does not use clichés or prefabricated statements in its interaction. It explores the space outside those comfort zones and conventional possibilities and enters into an intensive, short-lived dialogue. By dealing with form and structure, which is intuitively revisited and reshaped at the moment, the band creates a symbiosis between free improvisation, instant composition and reconstruction of the material just created. This creates a post-serial, genre-free aesthetic of sound, sound in the rhythm in the band sound. Everything created in the respective situation, music thus becomes a statement in order to express itself and find itself.
