Bergmann Projekt

Bergmann Projekt
The Bergmann Project is a band around one of the most popular jazz trumpeters/wing horn players in Europe. Matthias Bergmann performed with countless greats of jazz and pop music such as e.g. David Liebman, Roger Cicero and Nils Wogram. The list of his participations in big bands and exciting band projects is just as endless, for example he has been a permanent member of the Peter Herbolzheimer Rhythm Combination and Brass and the Cologne Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, CCJO for many years. In addition, he writes and plays for and with his own line-ups, produces CDs and performs around the globe. The counterpart in the Bergmann project is Werner Neumann, both of whom have played together in different line-ups for over 20 years. Just as busy and versatile WN plays with heroes of the scene such as Richie Beirach, Mel Collins (King Crimson) or currently Katharina Franck (Rainbirds). The Rhythmsection consists of two young artists, almost on the verge of a breakthrough: Luca Genze and Hermann Spannenberger.
