toba

toba
The feeling of stepping outside on a warm evening is toba. The trio from Hanover offers its very own view of the jazz-typical guitar trio. Always committed to a profound sound, one thing above all applies: listening – and developing from it what was previously unspoken in the room. Toba’s music is more than the sum of its parts. Between gentle volcanic eruptions and elegantly neck-breaking gymnastics, new perspectives on familiar sounds are hidden. Along their own compositions and a few indispensable favorite songs, the three protagonists maneuver themselves in worlds reminiscent of traveling, missing and swimming in the open sea.
Joel Podolski, Finn Clausen and Aaron Rosenow found themselves as a trio in their studies in Hanover and quickly felt that they value and are looking for a common language on the instrument. For two years they have been playing compositions from their own pen, standards and covers from Kat Frankie to Green Day.
