Bernewitz-Rumen-Broeckx Trio

Bernewitz-Rumen-Broeckx Trio

The Bernewitz-Rumen-Broeckx Trio brings together three outstanding musicians in a dynamic unity.

Paul Bernewitz (piano), born in Leipzig in 1997, began playing classical piano early and later discovered his passion for jazz. He studied jazz piano in Nuremberg and currently jazz arrangement/composition in Leipzig. His works combine new music and jazz.

Toon Rumen (bass), a 22-year-old double bass player from Antwerp, studies at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. He is active as a sideman in various groups and works on his own projects. In 2023 he participated in the IASJ meeting in Helsinki.

Robbe Broeckx (Drums), also from Belgium, studied in Brussels, Malmö and Antwerp. He is active in bands like Noa Lee and The Radar Station and has worked with renowned musicians like Chris Potter.

The trio offers a versatile musical experience ranging from classical jazz sounds to modern compositions.
