Spice'n'Space

Uria Mader – Drums
Mattan Klein – Flute
Ran Levi – Bass
Bernhard Ludescher – Keys
Tal Yadin – Guitar

Spice'n'Space is an Israeli jazz-funk band led by flutist Mattan Klein and drummer Uria Mader.

The group grew out of a spontaneous meeting of the two musicians in a Tel Aviv club. Their goal was to combine their shared passion for jazz, fusion and funk in a new band.

Her music style combines the old-school junk of the J.B.'s and the late-60s recordings of Lou Donaldson and Grant Green with the challenging harmonies of Herbie Hancock, paired with the modern, catchy sounds of Vulfpeck.

Spice'n'Space headlines the Tel Aviv International Flute Festival and Klaipeda International Jazz Festival in Lithuania in June 2023.

The band members have performed on prestigious stages such as the London Jazz Festival, the Red Sea Jazz Festival and many more worldwide.

Their debut album was recorded in January 2023 and will be released on January 4. August under the London label "Ubuntu Music".

Mattan Klein is a jazz/world music flötist and composer who has worked with well-known artists such as Tom Oren and Gadi Stern and has performed on stages such as Carnegie Hall.

Uria Mader, an up-and-coming Israeli drummer, is equally adept at jazz and rock, playing at major festivals such as the InDnegev Festival and the Red Sea Guitar Festival.
