Altered Forms Trio
The Altered Forms Trio from Leipzig plays explosive improvised music and original compositions with strong influences from jazz and avant-garde music. Crumbling textures, wild spontaneity and gestural abstraction meet a strong emotional core and sense of adventure. The band consists of the Scottish pianist and composer Gregor Forbes, the Leipzig bassist Robert Lucaciu and the drummer Johannes von Buttlar.
The trio has earned a special place in the Leipzig scene and has already performed with greats such as Fred Frith and Angelika Niescier. Her debut album will be released on the 4th. October 2024 on Boomslang Records (Austria) and will be available on vinyl and CD.
