Exit (Jazz grunge)
The music of Exit is rooted in Christina Zurhausen’s own experiences and follows the aesthetic of grungerock. The bandleader, coming from the rugged everyday life of the Ruhr area, composes the songs of the band – songs that, despite their clear structure and melodicism, are based on improvisations and are characterised by catchiness.
Zurhausen’s music tells of loving and quarrelling worlds, with a penchant for philosophy, in an attempt to fathom what holds the world together at its core. Always the Ruhr area in mind, the experienced 90s and beloved 60s in mind.
It is about emotions that lie deeper and are processed in an energetic way by the musicians with modern, rocky attitudes.

In the difficult times we live in today, very valuable and original things are created. An example of this is the album "The End Of The World", recorded by the formation, whose leader is guitarist Christina Zurhausen. Together with her band, she has created her own musical language, which impresses with its maturity and determination. I have listened to this album many times and I assure all jazz fans that this music will captivate us and let us experience something at the highest artistic level.
Review from jazz-fun.de
As unusual as it is great. A great album.
