Pablo Tarantino Quartett
Pablo Tarantino presents his first album as a composer in this new project. In “Charnia”, the musical and human backgrounds of a life he spent half in Argentina, half in Europe, where he trained as a musician and studied modern music, performance and composition in Barcelona, London, Berlin and Leipzig, where he is currently active in life. In this city he has found the musicians who form his quartet. The traditional line-up is the classic combination of percussion, piano, double bass and saxophone, and its components are young and talented, innovative and at the same time innovative as musically mature performers. “Charnia” is considered one of the first organisms to live on Earth and is his first album as a composer. Pablo Tarantino pays his own tribute to the earth and life on her. All compositions are original, with the exception of the traditional folklore song from northern Argentina, the editing of a Vidala. His music is organic, transforming multi-layered images and textures into sound, but always retains simplicity in the form of the songs in the background that have shaped his identity as a musician, from tango to pop, folklore to jazz. The themes of “Charnia” are those of life itself: love, uprooting, the beginning of life, its end, the social rituals, the despair or the hope.
