Take Note – Songwriter Sessions hosted by Marie Kanske / Chris Farnaby

Take Note – Songwriter Sessions hosted by Marie Kanske
Take Note – The Songwriter Sessions is a monthly concert series at the Blue Note Dresden and offers singer-songwriters a stage for their own songs, new ideas and intimate live moments. Between folk, indie, Americana and acoustic songwriting, evenings with changing artists, personal stories and a direct atmosphere are created.
The sessions are moderated by Marie-Sophie Kanske (Sea of Love) and are aimed at experienced musicians as well as new voices from the scene. Entrance is free, donations go entirely to the performing artists:innen.
Musicians: Women who want to perform themselves can contact Marie with a short biography, 1-2 photos and links to audio/video material.
Chris Farnaby
Chris Farnaby is a versatile Dresden musician, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, known among others as a double bass player of the Gypsy-JazzBand Caracou, as a banjo player on the Americana project The Voltz Brothers and as a singer/songwriter/guitarist of his former indie-pop duo "monkey & goat". As a solo artist, he feels at home especially in the genres Indie, Folk and Britpop. He brings his sometimes autobiographical songs, shaped by Radiohead, The Kooks and Bob Dylan, to the stage with passion and authenticity. The concert in the Blue Note is something special, because Chris will play some of his songs in the second half for the first time in trio with Frank Schlüter on the guitar and Markus Lötsch on the drums. It will be an exciting evening!
