John Schröder Trio

John Schröder Trio

The John Schröder Trio brings together three outstanding musicians who are deeply rooted in the German jazz scene. John Schröder, originally acclaimed as a “guitar prodigy”, is an exceptional multi-instrumentalist who masters both guitar and drums virtuoso. He has worked with such greats as Chet Baker, Joe Lovano and the band The Red Area. Sebastian Merk, an experienced drummer and professor at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden, combines modern jazz with influences from rock and psychedelic. Tom Götze, bassist and professor, brings his experience from diverse genres from jazz to rock to classical music. Together, the trio creates a distinctive mix of depth, creativity and musical versatility.
