ZUSATZKONZERT

BRTHR

BRTHR are a band from Stuttgart. However, their music sounds much more like Memphis, Nashville or Tulsa. In the foreground are the soul brothers Philipp Eißler (guitar, singing) and Joscha Brettschneider (guitar). The two write timeless Americanasongs that taste of Southern Soul, but also of cowboy folk – Hauptsachelaid back.

If you want to, you can hear role models like JJ Cale, Terry Callier, Bill Withers and Dan Penn – or contemporaries from Kings of Convenience to Jeb Loy Nichols. In very slim arrangements, two guitars play smooth groove, deep relaxed and at rest. That sounds like old rabbits, but they are not. BRTHR play the most sleepy and conciliatory music in the world – whether as gentle cowboy soul, deep soft rock or chamber soul. BRTHR are on tour in 2024 with their new album “Brother”.
