Take Note – Songwriter Sessions hosted by Marie Kanske / Peter Panther / Sicklebird

Take Note – Songwriter Sessions hosted by Marie Kanske

Take Note – The Songwriter Sessions is a monthly concert series at the Blue Note Dresden and offers singer-songwriters a stage for their own songs, new ideas and intimate live moments. Between folk, indie, Americana and acoustic songwriting, evenings with changing artists, personal stories and a direct atmosphere are created.

The sessions are moderated by Marie-Sophie Kanske (Sea of Love) and are aimed at experienced musicians as well as new voices from the scene. Entrance is free, donations go entirely to the performing artists:innen.

Musicians: Women who want to perform themselves can contact Marie with a short biography, 1-2 photos and links to audio/video material.

Peter Panther

Peter Panther has been playing guitar since he was tall. He spent most of his time in Dresden. 2019-2021 he spread good mood as guitarist of Lesly's Dynamite. Now he tells stories in songs like buns from the previous day: Bright and dark thoughts, dryly recited.

Sicklebird

"Sicklebird".Comes from an experimental/instrumental/math rock background but has been writing more poppy music with vocals for the last couple of years. In 2023, he released a song for every month of the year and started playing his first concerts in this format. He was looking for a band but it was harder than expected so now he's playing solo in a kind of singer/songwriter way, using lots of effects on my guitar and samples/beats from time to time.
