With Andris Meinig, Mathias Ruppnig and Johannes Bigge, three outstanding musicians unite, who create a fascinating sound world with their different musical backgrounds and individual compositional approaches. Her repertoire ranges from her own compositions to a personal selection of her favorite standards.
The trio moves effortlessly between swing and rhythmic abstraction, motivic clarity and harmonious ambiguity. In doing so, they succeed in a creative bow to the tradition of jazz, which is at the same time respectful and innovative in its interpretation.
Musically inspired by such greats as the Brad Mehldau Trio, The Bad Plus and Herbie Hancock, a mixture of lyrical sensitivity, experimental playfulness and virtuosic elegance emerges – an exciting journey through the complexity of modern jazz.
