PKIII

PKIII

PKIII combines exuberant joy with introspective moments, humorous accents and mindful musicality. The band interprets originals by pianist and bandleader Paul Küppers, whose compositions are inspired by jazz greats such as John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman and Miles Davis, as well as electronic music and Russian late romanticism.

The music of PKIII combines novel structures with a stylistic mixture, complemented by radical spontaneity and freely improvised forms. The interplay of the band members – Paul Küppers (piano), Ursula Wienken (bass) and Joshua Knauber (drums) – is characterised by unpredictable dynamics and creative diversity that makes each concert a unique experience.
