Gruber / Greisiger / Rauch brings a breath of fresh air into the classic organ trio format. Instead of the traditional guitar, the saxophone comes to the fore – sometimes powerful, sometimes lyrical, always strong in character. Together, the three musicians develop an intense, electrifying dialogue that thrives on blind understanding as well as on playful friction. Her music draws on soul, blues, post-bop and free improvisation – but always remains independent and difficult to classify.
Ruminants / Greisiger / Rauch do not sound nostalgic, not headstrong – but to the present: energetic, spontaneous, alive. This is not just a game – this is a story.
