Steve Voltz
Born and raised on Long Island, New York, the self-taught guitarist began making music while studying history. Ironically, he discovered his love for folk, bluegrass, and Americana after moving to Dresden in 2013, playing with his older brother as the Voltz Brothers, and becoming active in the local acoustic scene. Influenced by folk greats such as James Taylor, Dave van Ronk and Gordon Lightfoot, Steve sings with a gentle softness and plays with the savvy technique of modern finger style and early 20s folk picking. century. In recent years he has performed regularly throughout Germany and recorded with Standard Crow Behavior and Riley & Voltz, but he also enjoys playing as a solo artist.
Anna Maria Zinke
Songs and Melancholieder – Lyrical music with a longing for the sea.
Vorbei an roten Ampeln geht es weiter, immer weiter Richtung See. Und von dort ins Universum kreisender Planeten. Da wo alles irgendwie in Ordnung scheint.
Die Lieder und Songs bequemen sich in keine Stil-Schublade, sondern formen jedes für sich eine eigene Welt.
Anna Maria Zinke poetizes on guitar and piano about interpersonal phenomena such as the complexity of drinking beer together, sings folky nuts throwing squirrels or tells jazzig about evening visits to melancholy cafebars.
The compositions are lyrical-poetic observations with joy of musical changeability and melancholy, because that must be: pause, breathe, enjoy.
