Ray Collins Trio

Ray Collins Trio
Call it jazz, blues, mambo or jive. The Ray Collins Trio calls it Classic Lounge Music.
Double bass, piano, guitar, and accents with congas and vibraphone provide the sounds that combine three differently in changing line-up. The song tells stories about the first moon rockets, exotic drinks or the magic of the sunrise at the end of a danced night.
Its musicality and virtuosity was not shaped by renowned music schools or conservatories, but exclusively by a lifelong obsession with music of a far back era. And through the school of hundreds of gigs around the world. Otherwise on the road in larger tones, with Cat Lee King and his Cocks and Ray Collins HOT-CLUB, the three also strike much quieter notes and leave plenty of room for improvisation and a lot of attention to musical detail due to the reduced format of the trio. Take a seat, give yourself a drink, listen and the night will be ours.
