Libor Smoldas Organ Trio

Libor Smoldas Organ Trio
The Libor Smoldas Organ Trio is the central project of Prague guitarist Libor Smoldas in Europe. Together with the organist Jakub Zomer and the drummer Daniel Šoltis, he combines traditional jazz language with influences from the blues, funk and soul of the 1960s. Characteristic of the band sound is the Hammond B3, whose striking sound forms the basis for the energetic interaction.
The trio has performed on prestigious stages worldwide, including the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Melbourne Recital Centre in Australia and Yokohama Jazz Festival in Japan. However, their musical homeland remains the European jazz scene, especially the clubs of Prague.
Libor Smoldas is considered one of the leading jazz guitarists in Europe. He has performed on four continents and played with international greats such as George Mraz, Bobby Watson, James Morrison, Adam Nussbaum, Jeff Ballard, Sam Yahel and Brian Charette. His playing combines warm tone, creative phrasing and improvisational freedom.
