Johanna Lucia Trio

Johanna Lucia Trio

The Johanna Lucia Trio is a project that moves musically between modern jazz, Latin and free improvisation. The compositions of the pianist Johanna Lucia Pohlmann are often inspired by extra-musical phenomena such as everyday sensations and experiences, social issues and other artistic disciplines such as literature, dance and visual arts. These influences are reflected in the form of musical narrative and rhythmic diversity in the soundscape of the trio – piano (Johanna Lucia Pohlmann), drums (Ria Rother) and double bass (Natasha Zaychenko).
