Yamirah’s Solar Explorers

Yamirah’s Solar Explorers
Guitarist Yamirah Gercke specializes in jazz-pop compositions. She graduated from the Berklee College of Music in her native Boston and subsequently released her own records “Neighbors” and “Pressure” (awarded by the Indie Visions Film Festival). Her vast wealth of experience stems from her intensive collaboration with her now deceased father Lenjes Robinson in the band project “Bad Ass Freaks” as well as a large number of other collaborations. With her own label, Fat Banshee Records, she is a pioneer in the indie scene and dedicated to nurturing emerging talent.
Piano virtuoso Sacha Hladiy underwent his musical training at the Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris. He loves the jazz piano and mixes experimental and contemporary styles in his solo albums, which he often combines with classical elements. With his beloved Nord Stage, he also takes over the bass lines in “Yamirah’s Solar Explorers” and creates diverse soundscapes.
Drummer Ria Rother studied in Leipzig and Porto under the guidance of mentors such as Holger Nell, Heinrich Köbberling, Werner Neumann, Michael Lauren and Richie Beirach. In the Berlin jazz world, she likes to be part of very different ensembles of all sizes. She can play both Big Band and Free Duo. With "Yamirah's Solar Explorers", their multi-variant game is the basis for smooth grooves.
