Take Note – Songwriter Sessions hosted by Marie Kanske / Riccardo Gileno

Take Note – Songwriter Sessions hosted by Marie Kanske
Take Note – The Songwriter Sessions is a monthly concert series at the Blue Note Dresden and offers singer-songwriters a stage for their own songs, new ideas and intimate live moments. Between folk, indie, Americana and acoustic songwriting, evenings with changing artists, personal stories and a direct atmosphere are created.
The sessions are moderated by Marie-Sophie Kanske (Sea of Love) and are aimed at experienced musicians as well as new voices from the scene. Entrance is free, donations go entirely to the performing artists:innen.
Musicians: Women who want to perform themselves can contact Marie with a short biography, 1-2 photos and links to audio/video material.
Riccardo Gileno
Riccardo Gileno is a folk-pop songwriter from Trieste, a city that lies on the north-eastern coast of Italy. Thanks to the Canadian origins of his father, born and raised in Toronto, he discovered music at an early age, mainly listening to British and North-American artists. Riccardo Gileno's solo project originates from his need to express himself through music, in order to find the driving force behind his personal growth. With his songs, he tries to escape his comfort zone, look inside himself and tell the listener what he found.
His quiet nature and his "black music" influences merge in his first EP "The Curse", his first full length record "In Tune", released in 2021, and the last EP "From Beginning to End", released via Mahogany Songs in 2025
