In Residence – Summer at the Blue Note

Joel Marschner Quartett

The young quartet around the Berlin pianist and composer Joel Marschner presents his own, innovative and modern conception of contemporary jazz. His own compositions impress with high emotional depth, varied compositional form and structure, coupled with a moving sense of melody, and colorful harmonies.

The music of the quartet moves between Scandinavian and European jazz and is inspired by greats such as Esbjörn Svensson or Bobo Stenson. Today, the four musicians live in Germany, the Netherlands and Austria – connected by their common musical language.

Line-up :
Joel Marschner – Piano, Komposition
Mino van Noort – Trompete
Michel Lühring - Bass
Conrad Räuchle – drums
