Simone Basile Trio

Simone Basile Trio

The Italian guitarist and composer Simone Basile is one of the most promising voices on the European jazz scene. With his current trio, he presents modern compositions and selected standards between melodic modern jazz, Italian sound aesthetics and improvisational openness.

At his side are the Brussels-based bassist Federico Pecoraro, known for his collaboration with Philip Catherine, Kurt Rosenwinkel and the Belgian formation ECHT!, as well as the award-winning drummer Antonio Cerfeda, who is currently studying in New York and has already performed with artists such as Avishai Cohen, Kevin Hays and Gilad Hekselman.

Together, the trio combines European and American jazz traditions to create an energetic and at the same time finely nuanced concert experience.
