Christian Müller Quartett
Alternative · Jazz · Rock
The Christian Müller Quartet is a Berlin-based ensemble centred around the bassist and composer Christian Müller.
Musically, the band moves between contemporary jazz, classical musical language and the raw energy of alternative rock – a blend of carefully crafted composition and free improvisation.
The compositions are characterised by complex rhythms, dark harmonies and a melancholy note, which always ends in hope.
A musician friend of mine once summed up the band’s sound like this:
“Like a perfect blend of Stravinsky and My Chemical Romance.” An unusual comparison – but that’s exactly what piques your curiosity.
The band consists of:
Povel Widestrand – Piano
Asger Nissen – Alto saxophone
Jesús Vega – drums
Christian Müller – double bass

Voluntary contribution
Most of our concerts have no fixed admission price. Instead, we suggest a voluntary contribution of around €10 per person.
Our principle: if you have less, give less. If you can give more and want to support live music, you are welcome to be generous. This helps keep culture accessible to as many people as possible.
We collect contributions during the break after the first set or after the concert.
