Christmas Among Friends
Country

Steve Voltz again invites friends this year – and turns it into a Christmas Eve, as you wish: warm, musical and without stiff formality. Christmas Among Friends with Steve Voltz follows on from last year’s wonderful evening and brings American songs, country numbers and Christmas songs to the stage. It can be sung along when it fits, and above all it is about the shared experience of music – in the circle of friends.
Steve Voltz was born and raised on Long Island, New York. During his history studies, he taught himself to play the guitar. Surprisingly, he found his love for folk, bluegrass and Americana only after moving to Dresden in 2013. Here he played with his older brother than the Voltz Brothers and became part of the local acoustic scene.
Influenced by musicians such as James Taylor, Dave Van Ronk and Gordon Lightfoot, Steve Voltz sings with calm warmth and plays guitar in a mix of modern finger style and traditional folk picking. In recent years, he has travelled regularly throughout Germany, released music with Standard Crow Behavior and Riley & Voltz and performs again and again solo – especially when it is as personal and close as on this evening.
