VST 3.3

jazz

VST 3.3 is the trio led by drummer Valentin Steinle. The band’s name plays on the abbreviation VST, which refers to the programming interface for plug-ins in digital music production, whilst also serving as a personal signature. The music also navigates a similar tension: between organically evolving passages and precisely structured, almost mechanical patterns.

The trio tells stories at the points where different worlds meet. Their music is one in which something grows, breaks apart, branches out and comes back together again in the very next moment. This interplay gives rise to a distinctive blend of power, individuality and openness.

VST 3.3 uses compositions as starting points, not as limitations. Each voice remains authentic, free and individual.

Sebastian Wappler – piano
